Notification of Upcoming OHCA Meetings, Election Results, Oyster Roast Update

Notification of Upcoming OHCA Meetings:

OHCA Board Meeting: Tuesday, 10/11 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Eastport Fire Station (914 Bay Ridge Ave, Annapolis, MD 21403)

Please note: This is the first board meeting of the fiscal year and the new board will confirm its future meeting dates; the board meeting schedule for the remainder of the year will be published following this meeting.

OHCA Community Meetings:

  • Tuesday, 11/22 from 7:30-8:45 p.m. at Eastport-Annapolis Neck Public Library (269 Hillsmere Drive, Annapolis, MD 21403)
  • Tuesday, 1/24/2023 (Location TBD)***
  • Tuesday, 2/21/2023 (Location TBD)
  • Tuesday, 5/23/2023 (Location TBD)

***At the January meeting, OHCA community members approve the budget for fiscal year 2024; this aligns with the County’s deadlines for budget submission.

Please note:
-Locations for the January, February, and May meetings will be published in November.
-If additional community meetings are added, community members will be notified no later than 7 days in advance.

2022 OHCA Election Update

Dear Oyster Harbor Community Members;

We had one of the largest turnouts ever for an election in our Community. It was a wonderful show of community support and interest in continuing to make our community a great place to live.

The results of the election are as follows:

Board

  • Winston Dunkley (reelected)
  • David Ginsburg (reelected)
  • John Maxwell (elected)
  • Benny McCottry (elected)
  • Sharon Merrick (elected)

Officers

  • Kathy Burk President (elected)
  • Don Krause Vice President (elected)
  • Jody Tracey Recording Secretary (elected)
  • Drew Lawson Financial Secretary and Association Treasurer (elected)
  • Dave Jurkowski Corresponding Secretary (elected)
  • Patty Jenkins Special Tax Treasurer (reelected)

We want to congratulate all of the new board members and officers, and thank everyone who ran for an office and who turned out to vote.
We will all work together to make our community one of the best places to live in the Annapolis area.

Oyster Roast/Social Event Plans

The Oyster Roast is going to be postponed and plans are in the works for something special at the end of October. The social committee is working on dates and finalizing that plan!
