Treasurer’s Report and Budget Update

  • Overbudget in a couple areas, but generally on track

Old Business

  • Cleanup from snow storms and high winds underway
  • Still working with the county on flooding on AOTB road (Creek drive plan underway)
  • Website issues repaired, but recovery of minutes 2018 to present will be completed by mid-February
  • Projects under way and preparing for Spring work

  • Status update  on Cross and Creek issues from Matt Johnston, AA County Environmental Policy Director
    • Matt will dial into our Board meeting at 7:30

President’s Report, Piers Report and Other Reports Combined

Below is a summary list of those projects and what has been accomplished since the last Board Meeting.

Projects and their status

Since the last meeting, here is a project status list:

  • Dredge the channel in Oyster Creek (In permitting)
  • Dredge fireboat channel at Fishing Creek (In planning)
  • Creek Drive swale maintenance (Some finishing touches and a couple modifications at county’s request)
  • New drafting site at Booker pier and refreshing gravel (In planning and will piggy back on DPW open permit)
  • Speed Radar sign (In planning)
  • Slip leases for 2021-22 (Beginning the annual process)
  • Compiling minutes and posting 2018 to Present (Compiled and will send to John Gibbs in early Feb)
  • Phragmites 2nd phase removal at 1300 Harbor Rd (In planning, will need grading permit)
  • Sea nettle nets (Some repairs needed)
  • Spring clean-up (started)
    • Misc trash at fishing creek to dump
    • Fix Gravel at Fishing Creek entrance
    • Wood chips at playground, exercise course and kayak racks
    • Trim tree at community beach
    • New fence parts and posts at community beach
    • Fix post at Fishing Creek
    • Trim tree branches that are hanging along community roads
    • Clean up community beach in general
    • Fix cedar shingles on gazebo roof
    • Any repairs to gazebos from winter
    • Any repairs to picnic tables needed
    • Inspect playground at beach and playground area for damage
    • inspect climbing wall for damage
    • Lift swimming net and repair
    • Clean up mulch areas in and around rain gardens, community entrance and other mulch areas
    • Replace and clean up plants at beach, fishing creek and rain gardens as needed
    • Pier boards inspected and repaired as needed
    • Unwinterize dog wash and beach foot wash
    • Repair warped boards at beach
  • Beach Wifi repair (Have new AP, but awaiting nicer weather)
  • Beach flag halyard repair (Need high ladder)
