Parking Notice
You know that we have very narrow streets and that when people park on the side of the street it is very inconvenient to get around the cars. But there is another side to this. If our streets are obstructed, it makes it difficult, if not impossible, for emergency vehicles to get through.
The Oyster Harbor Citizens Association has made it easy for you to notify those who park on the street of the danger of this practice. The text below is on the document available at this link so you can print it out and put it on the offending vehicle. If the parking persists, OHCA officers should be notified so that towing can begin.
Please park your car in a more convenient location
The Oyster Harbor Citizens Association is responsible for managing the community’s roads and has a policy that vehicles should not be parked on the road where they could obstruct traffic. Four homes in the community have been destroyed by fire in the last year and the community is very aware of the need to provide easy access to fire equipment on the community roads. Please be advised OHCA has the right and responsibility to tow vehicles not in compliance with community policy.
