Report of Annual Meeting and Elections 2010 — The OHCA Annual Meeting and Elections was held on September 28.  We did have quorum and the following Board members and Officers ran uncontested and were sworn in:
Board Members (to serve for 3 year terms ending September 2013):  David Ginsburg, Winston Dunkley, Kathy Shaffer. Officers (to serve for 1 year term):  President – Brooke Doswell, Vice President – Norman MacLeod, Recording Secretary – Arlene Rankin, Corresponding Secretary – Elvia Thompson, Association Treasurer – Naomi Perry, Financial Secretary – Garth Wells, Special Tax Treasurer – Patty Jenkins.  We offer all our newly elected Board members and officers our sincere thanks for their efforts within the community and best wishes.
     The outgoing Board presented information on the bulkhead replacement and made a recommendation for a contractor to hire for the replacement.  There was discussion on the cost, methods and timing of the work.  The incoming Board accepted the recommendation and voted on awarding John H. Norris and Sons the bulkhead contract.
     Judge Laura Kiessling and Judge Ron Jarashow spoke to the members about their upcoming election for 5th Circuit Court Judges. They explained the rigorous process they went through to be selected by the Governor to replace two outgoing judges whose terms had expired, as well as, their qualifications for the position.
